Avoid buying six-packs

The only things that should come in six-packs are abdominal muscles. The bigger volumes you buy, the less packaging you’re paying for and the greater the likelihood that the bottles will be recyclable.

Even if it’s your intention to recycle the extra aluminium and plastic that you’re buying in a six-pack, you’re still taking on the extra energy required to manufacture all those cans. And if your excuse is that you need to take your individual cans with you in a packed lunch, well, recycling your last plastic bottle into your own reusable water bottle is probably a good place to start.
